Plantar fasciitis or as we define it Plantar fasciaopathy is condition of the plantar fascia, a thick band of tissue that runs along the bottom of the foot, connecting the heel bone to the toes. This tissue provides support for the arch of the foot and absorbs shock during activities like walking and running. When the plantar fascia is overstressed or strained, it can develop tiny tears, leading to thickening and pain, especially in the heel area.Â
