Jake is a passionate and proactive podiatrist with a strong foundation in evidence-based care, specialising in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of foot and lower limb conditions. With a particular interest in sports injuries, biomechanics, and rehabilitation, Jake combines clinical expertise with a deep understanding of movement mechanics—gained through his own active lifestyle across disciplines such as running, cycling, swimming, squash, skiing, and rock climbing.
Jake graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Podiatry from the University of Southampton and currently works within the Kingston and Richmond NHS Foundation trust. There, he manages a diverse caseload, including high-risk diabetic foot care, wound management, orthotic prescription, and minor surgical procedures. His role involves close multidisciplinary collaboration, including shadowing advanced surgical podiatrists and participating in diabetic foot MDTs.
Committed to lifelong learning and professional development, Jake is actively involved in research, mentorship, and continuous education. He has volunteered as a podiatry medic at major events like the London Marathon and the medical support team at the Marathon des Sables. He is also aiming to begin a Master’s degree in Podiatric Sports and Exercise Medicine at Queen Mary University in September 2025.
Jake’s patient-centered approach, combined with his dynamic sporting background and clinical expertise, makes him an asset to the South West Podiatry team and a trusted practitioner for those seeking both preventative care and advanced rehabilitation.
