Dermoscopy: Examining Skin and Nail

What is Dermoscopy?

Dermoscopy (also called dermatoscopy or  epiluminescence microscopy) is a non-invasive diagnostic technique used by trained podiatrists to examine skin lesions or nail units in detail. It involves using a dermatoscope, a handheld device with magnification and polarized or non-polarized light, to assess structures and colours within the skin that are not visible to the naked eye.

Step 3.

Routine follow-ups may be suggested for monitoring.

Step 4.

If no concerns are found, your podiatrist will provide guidance on ongoing foot health.
